Processing of personal data relating to the taxi-booking service

1. Data collected and purposes of processing
When a service is requested, the time of the call, the collection address and, where applicable, the customer’s name are recorded. The origin of the call is also recorded (telephone number, where available, or external partner organisation).
For contracted services, the data necessary for the ongoing provision of the service is also recorded.
Route data is recorded automatically using satellite tracking devices.
In individual cases, where necessary for the provision of the service, data relating to the customer’s physical condition may be recorded.
This data is necessary for the provision of the service, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) and (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter: GDPR) and therefore does not require the data subject’s consent.
Any refusal to provide the data listed above may make it impossible to provide the service.
2. Methods, duration of processing and disclosure of data
The data are processed using both computerised and manual procedures.
The data is retained for one year, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, for the purposes of the Data Controller’s legitimate interest in responding to any complaints regarding the service provided, in accordance with Article 2591 of the Civil Code (limitation period for rights arising from the contract of carriage).
Data relating to the route, recorded via satellite tracking devices, is retained for 72 hours, after which it is automatically overwritten due to the limited storage capacity of the servers used.
Certain data is disclosed to external data processors for the purpose of carrying out technical operations and is not disseminated. This is without prejudice to cases where requests are made by the judicial authorities or the police, in accordance with the procedures laid down by law.
3. Customer Rights
Pursuant to Article 15 et seq. of the GDPR, the Customer has the right to obtain from Taxi Napoli s.r.l. confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them is being processed and to obtain access to such data, as well as information on the categories of data processed, the purposes of the processing, the retention period and any disclosures of data to third parties. They also have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data being processed and to have it transferred to another data controller.
The Customer has the right to request the rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of data concerning them, or to object to such processing, within the limits set out in the aforementioned provisions.
